Product Overview
Cold Rolled High Frequency Welded (HFW) Steel Pipe is manufactured by cold forming steel coils into tubular shape and welding the edges using high-frequency current. The high-frequency current utilizes skin effect and proximity effect to instantly heat the strip edges to a molten state, which are then pressed together by squeeze rolls to form a solid weld. This process offers high production efficiency, stable weld quality, excellent dimensional accuracy, and superior surface finish, making it an ideal choice for precision manufacturing applications as an alternative to seamless steel pipes.
Production Process
The production of cold rolled high frequency welded pipe adopts continuous operation with the following main process flow:
Uncoiling → Strip-end Shearing & Welding → Loop Accumulation → Leveling → Cold Forming → High Frequency Welding → Burr Removal → Cooling → Sizing → Straightening → Flying Saw Cutting → Finished Product Inspection

1:High Dimensional Accuracy
With precision cold forming technology and high-frequency welding process, the product maintains strict dimensional tolerances in outer diameter, wall thickness, and length. Outer diameter tolerance can reach ±0.1mm (for diameters below 38mm), and thickness tolerance is controlled within +0.02mm/-0.03mm-1-4, meeting precision assembly requirements.
2:Excellent Surface Quality
Using cold rolled coils as raw material, the product features a smooth and clean surface. Various surface conditions including bright annealed or black annealed are available upon request, suitable for subsequent surface treatment processes such as plating and painting.
3:Good Weldability
Galvanized steel coil features good weldability, suitable for common welding processes such as spot welding and arc welding. Special process design minimizes zinc vaporization and spatter during welding, ensuring welding quality.
4:Good Workability
Cold rolled high frequency welded pipe features good plasticity and ductility, suitable for secondary processing such as bending, flaring, swaging, and flattening, meeting complex forming requirements for applications such as accumulators, mufflers, and heat exchangers.
